I am really picky when it comes to my skin because I don’t like having the feeling that there is anything on it. That is one of the reasons why I don’t wear make-up. I have combination skin – oily on my T-zone and with some dry patches around my mouth. I also have some blackheads on my chin which seem to worsen during my PMS and my period.
I have tried many different products – some made my dry patches even drier, others caused irritation. A while ago I came across Paula’s Choice and I decided to give it a try. I will review the Skin Balancing Oil Reducing Cleanser in this post.
On the site, they say ”If you love a creamy yet non-greasy cleanser that produces soft lather, Skin Balancing Oil-Reducing Cleanser is the perfect solution. This cleanser is formulated for oily/combination skin and works perfectly to remove excess oil and all makeup without stripping skin. Skin Balancing Oil-Reducing Cleanser has a pearlescent texture and cushiony foam that treats your skin gently while offering thorough cleansing.”
The cleanser does feel very smooth and rich when you apply it to your skin. I cannot say anything about removing make-up because I never wear it. After using it for a while I have noticed that my blackheads have become smaller and there are fewer of them. It also doesn’t dry my skin out (when my sister, who doesn’t have oily skin, tried it she said that it had dried her skin). I only use it in the evening before I have a shower because my hair gets a bit weird after washing it off – but this has always been the case with any cleanser that wasn’t water-like (but milk-like).
