The first time I tried chocolate chip cookies was ages ago and they were store-bought. They were OK but just too sweet for my liking, and also too hard. Then, while I was working at a summer school, I tried some home-made and they were delicious! Of course, I had to ask for the recipe and made some at home. All my friends and also my pupils loved them, so I am sharing the recipe with you.
240 ml butter (= cca 20 dag)
100 ml brown sugar (= 8 dag)
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
600 ml flour (= 0,5 kg)
dash of salt
Beat the eggs with sugar, vanilla, and butter. Mix flour with baking soda and add it to the mixture. Finally mix chocolate chips into it – you can buy them or just use two 100 g chocolates and create your own. You can mold the cookies by hand or you can use different shape molds. Grease the pan with butter or use baking sheets. Bake the cookies 8–10 min at 190˚C so that they become golden brown.
You can also add nuts if you want.
A little tip: Put a tin foil over the baked cookies and they will be soft.
