Moisturizing your skin is very important, especially in the winter when you spend a lot of time indoors with the heating blasting, making your skin become even drier. Sure, drinking plenty of water helps, but trust me when I say that your skin needs some additional moisturizer.
Frequent readers of my blog already know that I really don’t like putting things on my face because they seem to clog my pores, make my skin even oilier – I swear, most moisturizers that I have tried make me look like I have put my face into oil after 5 minutes. They look good on paper or on my finger tips – they look rich, creamy, but my face just doesn’t agree. A while ago I got a sample of Paula’s Choice – Resist Barrier Moisturizer with Retinol along with my order. When you go on their page, you can read the following:
Resist Barrier Repair Moisturizer contains a specialized complex of ingredients proven to remodel aging skin, bringing it to a healthier, more youthful state-really. The formula is packed with ingredients that work to build and preserve collagen, prevent moisture loss, restore essential ingredients to protect skin’s barrier function, and reduce inflammation with potent antioxidants. The result? The skin you want to have, now! It provides silky hydration that’s ideal for normal to dry skin, it is formulated to help skin resist wrinkles, it reduces free-radical and environmental damage, it is exceptional for rosacea and sensitive skin, it is perfect for the eye area-no need for a separate eye cream, and it is fragrance-free, because it’s what’s best for your skin.
I didn’t use it immediately after I got it, I waited until winter arrived, because I wanted to see how it would do in really tough conditions. 😀 I waited for a weekend in case it were too much for my skin. I must say that my skin felt relieved immediately after putting it on, you can just feel how it hydrates and moisturizes it. It is richer than my regular moisturizer, yet it doesn’t leave your skin looking like it is bathing in oil. It absorbs really well, so you can use it as a day or as a night cream without having to fear it will end up smeared all over your pillow. The skin definitely appreciates it, my wallet just might not. 😉
